GIAC
GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification) is an information security certification scheme, which was founded by the SANS institute circa 1999. It is linked to SANS training courses.
Two levels of certification are offered: the "silver" level, which requires two multiple-choice tests, and the "gold" level which requires both multiple-choice tests and a practical.
