CompTIA Security+
Description
The CompTIA Security+ certification demonstrates that the owner has a good understanding of security concepts and can assist in keeping a network secure.
This certification is issued by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).
Discussion
The Security+ is a vendor-neutral certification that shows that the individual has the knowledge of important security concepts such as:
- Communication Security;
- Operational security;
- Cryptography;
- Infrastructure Security;
- Operational Security.
CompTIA recommends that the candidate have a minimum of two years of experience in networking with emphasis on security. They also recommend that the candidate previously have obtained the CompTIA Network+ certification.
Certification Criteria:
To be considered certified, the following criteria must be satisfied:
- The candidate must pay an examination fee;
- The candidate must pass one exam.
